Although it was a location that was neglected in LA, Downtown Los Angeles is undergoing a major facelift, and rapidly at that. Construction of new buildings are going on at a fast pace as well as the transformation of old properties into modern and stylish apartments.
There might be only about 60000 people residing in DTLA, but over 500000 jobs are being run in that location. Thanks to the beautifully designed Union Station, Downtown Los Angeles is the focal point for municipal transportation in the city – trains, subways, and buses that commute around the city all link up at the historic station.
One thing that makes DTLA appealing in the whole of Los Angeles is the fact that it is the only neighborhood where you can enjoy a carless life without missing out on the things you love to do such as going to the theater, eating out, or shopping.
