With about 67400 residents, the city of Redondo Beach is the most populated among the three Beach Cities of Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach. The coastal city became incorporated in April 1892 and has a population density of about 10766 residents per square mile.
Redondo Beach is divided into northern and southern sections. The southern area of the city of Redondo Beach is the part that borders the Pacific Ocean. North Redondo, on the other hand, is an inland neighborhood that is cut off from the oceanfront by Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach.
You will find a number of original homes still standing in the city, though many smaller homes have been transformed into contemporary and modern residential structures. The real estate regulations permit luxury townhome buildings that allow a maximum of two or three families for properties situated around two to three blocks from the beach. The northern inland areas mostly allow single-unit homes.
