Once a part of Pasadena, this 3.42 square miles city also shares its borders with the metropolis of Los Angeles. South Pasadena sits in the West San Gabriel Valley and is about 10 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. It was incorporated as a city in 1888 and now has an estimated 25329 residents living in it.

The streets of South Pasadena are lined with several native and non-native trees.

The historic Mission-West District of the city is famous for its weekly Farmer’s Market.

South Pasadena is one of Hollywood’s most loved TV and Movie locations as many notable films and television series have been shot here. On average, about 200 films are shot in this city every year.

Arroyo Seco is a wonderful sight to behold for walkers and hikers. Other centers of recreation include Eddie, Garfield, Library, Orange Grove, and War Memorial Parks.
